However, they were crippled by a restrictive template website and needed a new site to allow for greater flexibility and functionality. The end result is stunning and has been recognised as one of the best websites in the country, Shortlisted for Website of the Year at the 2023 Negotiator Awards.
PropertyStream was commissioned to design and build a brand new website that would allow Thomson Hayton Winkley to shine online just as much as they shine in the local markets they operate.
They needed a website with intuitive navigation, easy-to-manage Meet the Team pages, full library of Branch Pages, Area Pages and Area Guides to demonstrate their unrivalled local knowledge of the South Lakes region.
They also needed the website to drive more valuations and highlight the ability to Book a valuation online to drive income to the business.
Finally they needed a website that was worthy of their amazing properties to satisfy vendor and landlord demand including easily accessible virtual tours and a multiple-grid structure for property photographs.
Thomson Hayton Winkley already had a lovely and strong visual identity with a striking logo featuring a graphic of colourful houses in a row on a pale background. We wanted to follow through the existing brand look by keeping the colour palette neutral, the page designs simple and clean. Our designs are light and airy, using stunning photography from the local area as well as natural lifestyle imagery that matches the tone and essence of the business.
We provided bespoke copywriting for every page that reflects the tone of voice and brand story behind THW, and married the copy with suitable imagery throughout. The new website allows visitors to get a true picture of the excellence behind the business. You land on the homepage and you know you’re in good hands.
We utilised the latest functionality and integrations to ensure the user experience was exceptional for people wanting to browse properties, get in touch, learn about the area, download handy guides or meet the team at THW.
We developed comprehensive Branch Pages as well as Area Pages so that Thomson Hayton Winkley could cement their reputation as local experts to customers both within and outside the region.
The result is a beautifully crafted website, light and neutral in tone to allow the beautiful brand andimagery to shine through. The site uses the latest functionality to make sure visitors can engage easily with the properties and the business.
Go to the homepage where you are greeted by a full width carousel of incredible images from the four areas covered by THW – Kendal, Grange-over-Sands, Windermere and Kirkby Lonsdale. It’s dreamy (and we all want to move there).
It’s clean and fresh with lots of useful content for our customers including the Area Guides. It’s also much more user-friendly than our old website and the ability to easily update and manage content is hugely beneficial.
