Drawing on more than 150 years of experience, CJ Hole is a popular independent estate agency. Famous for its first-class service, they help buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants alike across the South West of England and Wales.
Misconstruing the word ‘traditional’ is easy. It can be mistaken as ‘stuffy’, ‘unapproachable’ or ‘old-fashioned.’ Three descriptions any reputable business wants to avoid at all costs, especially when it comes to branding. CJ Hole needed to break through their archaic “traditional” website look and adopt a new visual identity.
We were tasked with creating an engaging, user-friendly website. As the majority of the clientele is heavily tech-centric, improving the mobile experience was vital. A boring, clunky site would negatively impact conversions. We needed to come up with something that would appeal to these users and demonstrate CJ Hole’s knowledge and passion for the local community.
As most of the CJ Hole’s offices are located in picturesque locations, it seemed to be a no-brainer to include these in our strategy. We sourced a set of beautiful shots of the surrounding scenery. We wanted a simple, modern, image-based layout to let the property areas speak for themselves.
In a face-to-face encounter, it’s plain to see that CJ Hole is slick, suave, consistent, and professional. We wanted to duplicate that digitally. We refreshed the colours on the main site, taking out all the unnecessary clutter to make a seamless user experience. Lastly, we felt CJ Hole’s length of operation is something to be proud of. And why not shout about it? To do so, we designed a ‘150 years of excellence mark’ to emphasise their longevity and maximise trust in the agency.
