Chinneck Shaw came to us looking for a complete makeover of their current brand and website – they saw this as the time to reinvent themselves. With their new branding, they wanted to be modern, fresh and different but at the same time didn’t want to lose sight of their main values and their focus of being the agent of choice in Portsmouth. For their website and to keep in line with the new branding they wanted, they sought to have a minimalistic, simple property website where less is more.
We were inspired by Portsmouth’s heritage and wanted to incorporate the use of a nautical theme. The use of graphic devices based on nautical flags with each one representing a letter in the alphabet would be a versatile tool. This subtle meaning would give a nod to something that was very important to the people of Portsmouth and Chinneck Shaw themselves.
The use of the graphic devices could also be used for imagery around the website – it would provide a strong graphic language. To ensure the website was straightforward for the user, clean and clear CTAs would be easily located and the new tools including a mortgage calculator, Locrating and Dataloft would be introduced to the website.
